A regular size DSLR, with a lens attached, can also be carried straight down inside the bag. Strobes or some water bottles fit into the side stretch pockets, as well.

I have purchased several bags over the years. None of them have ever fit my gear quite right. Until now. This bag is almost perfect. It fits my large lens without being too tight. Camera body with lens attached fit perfect in the middle. Has room for my wide angle lens along with my flash unit too. I have a 15" macbook pro which fits perfectly (I don't think a 17" mac would fit). Great compartments in front for CF of SD cards, filters, shutter remote, batteries, and any other small gear you have. I like this bag way better than all my other Tamrac and Lowepro bags. It looks great while not looking like a camera bag to thieves. I highly recommend this bag. You can buy optional straps for another $20 that allow you to strap your tripod and other accessories to the bag.
