I have used virtually every Trijicon product on the market at one point or another with perfect results. This particular model is ballistically calibrated for the 147 Grain, 7.62x51 cartridge used in the M208 MG @ 2800FPS muzzle velocity. I started with a 150 grain Nosler BT using a variety of different powders for the test to find the best results. The rifle in use is 1:12 ROT @ 22". Within 5 shots, the results were typical Trijicon obvious. At 100 meters with a new 5 spot target, the groups held solid at 2" using a bipod. Next check was the 200 meter range. This time a led sled was used and the groups held a 6" group. Keeping in mind the dot MOA covers the target completely at this distance shooting at a 12" diameter target, it's nothing less than impressive. I use these for hunting as well as target shooting and love the brilliant illumination during the dawn and dusk hours. Because it uses tritium and fiber vs. batteries, it's legal for hunting. (At least in Colorado) Using loads of 150, 165, and 180 grains during my checks, results changed slightly at different ranges. I settled on the 165 grain Nosler E-Tip for my Elk hunting choice due to the fact that it held outstanding groups at 200 meters and I have used the E-Tip before with devastating results and instant drops. Bottom line, It's Trijicon. Worth every penny.
