This monocular has a sturdy, durable construction which feels substantial in your hand. Although the magnification is relatively low, the quality of the image is ridiculously clear and resolute. The focus works very well, is easily accessed and easy to adjust.

The build of this monocular is very functional, with a clip on the side which can hook to molle straps. The case leaves a bit to be desired, but is also molle compatible. The only short side is the lack of a lens cover. I use the lens cleaner it shipped with and a rubber band to cover the lens when not in use. It works well and keeps out debris. The eye relief is great and keeps out any stray light obscuring the image by fitting right into the eye socket.

Perhaps the best part of this lens is the reticle which is easily used to estimate distances with just a bit of simple math. The gradation of the mil-dot is resolute and in-focus, and is very easy to line up with the image observed. It's useful to have a list of normal everyday things and their relative size. For instance, the average car is 4.12 meters long. Knowing this and the number of mil-dots the object viewed is, you can gauge distance very easily.

I would recommend this to anyone traveling, hiking, or being outside. I used this in Morocco to look across the city, in Colorado to watch Bald Eagles, and in Ireland while climbing Carrantuohill. It is an excellent product that is well-worth the money paid.
