The Light & Motion Sola Dive Light (500-Lumens, Blue) now offers even better value and features the improved Ballistic Hand Mount and new style SOLA body able to accommodate the optional pistol grip.

The SOLA500D offers great value for money compared to many other hand held dive lights on the market today combining a compact, rugged, feather weight design with a 500 lumen beam, three power levels and external recharging.
We asked divers what they wanted in a dive light. They told us; small, lightweight, easy to use and easy to charge. Sola dive lights have a factory sealed body so you never need to worry. Control is accomplished through a locking magnetic coupled slider on the top of the body. Slide forward or back to turn on. Hold forward or back to turn off.
Three indicator lights behind the bezel report the power (high=3 lights, medium=2 lights, low = 1 light). Indexing back changes mode between spot and flood. Indexing forward increments the power levels.

We use a smart multi-voltage charger and external wet connection gold plated charge pins for long life. The built-in lithium-ion battery is charged through external charge ports with gold plated receivers for years of use. You never need to remove the battery and charging is easy and fast on beach or boat.

The hand mount is now available in two sizes, Large and Small. Select from the drop down list when ordering.

The Large size fits most divers comfortably whilst using gloves. The Small size is best suited to small hands or when diving in warm water were gloves may not be required.

Light & Motion Sola Dive Light 500 Review

I have been diving over 50 years and used to make my own lights due to none being available commercailly. Since then I have purchased a number of lights and even had an older model Light and Motion that I liked very well but they had a recall and replaced it temporarly with a German model that was good but too heavy. I was very excited to see them come out with the present model and rushed to purchase. Now I am glad to see it is everything the older light was and then some, with its modular design that eliminates dismantlng it to re-charge.
I have the flood one for night stills and movies and my son has the spot version for night and day searching.
