Yes, it's expensive. However, it's worth the money. I had a cheap Chinese no-name remote shutter release that broke after only four shoots. The build quality of this unit is phenomenal. My only gripe, for which I would dock half a star if I could is for the precision of timer. Either my camera is slow or the timer is fast, but when shooting timelapses in A mode (letting the camera do the mettering with all other settings set to ensure that 30 seconds is the longest exposure length), I had to set the interval length to 33 seconds to ensure continuous shooting. When shooting in blub mode with the exposure length set to 30 seconds, an interval of 31 secods worked perfectly, so it's just a slight disagreement in time length between the timer and the camera, but it was annoying to discover the first time.
