I recently purchased SONY A700K, which is a A700 plus SONY 18-70 zoom lens bundle. The bundled lens turned out to be a nightmare. So I purchased this SAL-1680Z. Do I like it? Let me tell you.
If you really really care about sharpness, resolution, MTF, then get multiple prime lenses. No zoom lenses match any Minolta/Sony prime lenses in this category.
But if you can compromise a little bit (just a little bit) and want some 5x zoom convenience, look no further. This lens gives you all. Yes it is not cheap for a digital-format (1.5x FOV) lens, but in addition you get the "Zeiss" color: deep and classy.
Is it perfect? No, it shows some vignetting when wide open.

Bottom line: If you have Sony Alpha 700 (or 100) and if you want a zoom lens which you can use on almost any situation, save some money and get this.

The micro scope is great. A great value.....but I could never get the camera working. It doesn't seem to be compatible with any computer we have and we have them all. 32 64 bit old ones new ones. PC Mac.

It took me quite a while to find the maker of the camera and they sent me some very complicated directions to get it up and running. I never could get it working. This was one of the selling points of the package.

Uniden UDW20055 Wireless Video Surveillance System, Black, One screen and Two cameras Review

Looking for a small, rather inexpensive camera system to basically monitor the outside of my property at night I settled on this system. Only a few reviews here about it but it seemed to have all the features I was looking for which were for the most part a wireless system with night vision, and motion censor recording. I must say up until discovering this system's major flaw I was quite happy. Picture quality is very good, night vision quality is pretty much on par with lighted picture quality I really noticed no degradation. Audio quality is pretty good, and the wireless connection was very stable as well, I set a camera up at one end of the house and one in the garage, then went to the other end of the house and upstairs and had no trouble connecting to both cameras.

Now the deal breaker, and I think it might be a deal breaker for a lot of people. The motion sensor capability is quite unless if you plan on using 2 or more cameras. In setting up a recording schedule with the provided software you are only allowed to use set one camera on motion sensor at a time for every given 2 hour period. Meaning unless your sitting in front of the screen manually switching through the cameras, the only camera you're going to get anything out of is the one that is scheduled to record at that time, and if you set the system to motion sensor only that one camera selected for that 2 hr time slot will be enabled with motion sensor, all the other cameras are as good as off and are basically useless (unless your sitting at your computer all night switching between cameras!). This really baffles me why Uniden didn't incorporate motion sensor capability to be enabled on all cameras at the same time, and automatically switch and record when motion is detected on any of the cameras, other systems of this same type and price range seem to have it. So if you have four cameras running on this system and it's set to motion sensor, you're going to have a 25% chance of recording any motion going on outside your house, that's not acceptable to me, and I don't consider that surveillance! So I'm sending this back and checking out the Lorex LW2702 which Costco sells for about $50 more, it includes automatic motion sensor switching between cameras and quite a few other bonuses.

Wildgame Innovations x10CG Infrared Game 10MP Camo Camera Review

NOTE TO OTHERS CONSIDERING ANYTHING FROM WILDGAME INOVATIONS-This was my review before the cold hunting season.

Aug 2012 It is by far one of the best cameras I have used. I have been using this camera for about 1 month now and the batteries still show to have full capacity. The image quality is great at 10MP you can zoom in and count the whiskers on that huge buck you have been monitoring. I did not get the optional wifi connection but might consider it in the near future. My only concern with the camera is I didn't find anyway to mount it to keep vandals from running off with it. Someone may offer a security box for it but I didn't see one, I must say I probably haven't put in enough effort to locate one either. You can review your pictures in the camera or you can download them from the SD card.

Jan 2013 NOW PLEASE READ THIS ONE-You will not be satisfied with any producy you buy from WGI. After the cold weather set in and the temps got below freezing the unit would shut itself down. The company does not have any in house technical service people. There is no one who will admit the product is defective. After I contacted them about the unit shutting itself down when the temps get below freezing I was told that it was not a defect of the product and that electronics were not made to stand up to those temps or anything above 95 I told the lady that it was a game camera and it was to be used in those type of temp extremes, she wouldn't budge on the product having a problem and even stated I could quote her on that, so here I have. That also goes for the optional battery you can get for it. I asked her please let me talk to an older gentleman that might do some hunting and she put me through to another phone answerer and he said just send it in that they were tested to work into the 20 range. He gave me a RMA and after I paid shipping to return it I got another, (although it wasn't the camo and didn't have picture review in the unit) after installing it and using it for a day it does the same thing. If you are buying this camera for picture taking in weather below 35� don't waste your money. They will not work again until you remove the batteries and reinstall them and then when the temp drops below 35 degrees you do the same thing again. I do not recommend anything from WGI.

Samson Servo 200 Stereo Power Amplifier, 200 Watts Review

I have the 120a and 200 for my studio
both sound great - the 200 does have more head room.
But the 200 and higher units have a built in fan that can be noisy for a recording stuido.

I liked the amp so I replaced the fan with a Silenx fan the fit perfectly.
I got it a fry's electronics for $10 and it is way quieter.
Silenx will email you a digram if you have trouble with the 2 wires (the new fan has 3 and you only need 2).
It took me 15minutes. The trick is to take the front panel off too to make it easy to get the fan screws. Easy swap.

For the money is a well built and great sounding unit.
i only gave it 4 stars because of the fan noise - Samson should have taken care of this issue in my opinion.
