I ordered this because it was barely more than the cost of the camera by itself, and it was coming with a few handy items. Two batteries, that's worth a bit, and a 32GB card, I can go all day with that. Plus the mics, they aren't worth much, but I could use some extras.

I presume if you're considering this, you've already researched the camera. It's not bad. I got it for the interchangeable lens, and while I don't have another E-mount lens to replace it with, it does come off and go back on, and I expect others will go on in its place. Plus, it takes a pretty picture. Need to get used to it, but I think I'll like it. AVCHD is kind of a pain (I edit in FCP7, they don't play well together), but I should've known that going in.

The rest of the stuff, I can take or leave. Tripod? If I didn't already have a bunch, maybe. It's a cheap tripod, but that's to be expected. If you don't have one, this is one. It'll do.

The memory card... sigh. They sent two 16GB cards, not one 32GB. I know it's almost the same but... it's not the same. With a 32GB card, I really don't need to worry. With 16GB... I kinda do. It's not terrible, but not good enough.

The filter kit -- usually, this is a bit of nonsense just included to fluff the order, but the truth is... this is kind of a good one. Nice pleather carrying case, a UV to protect the lens, a couple others to... well, not to do much of anything, but maybe I'll find a use for them. An ND or two would've been better. But not a terrible deal, I kinda like it.

The extra batteries -- good. That's pretty close to being worth the extra I paid over the camera by itself.

The travel charger --worked fine, charges the batteries. What more can you ask?

Card reader -- didn't come. Not included. Not sure why, but I didn't need it anyway, and it probably was going to be a crappy one to boot, so no skin off my nose. You might need it, though, and if so, you should know it didn't come.

Microfiber cleaning cloth... don't waste my time. Well, they didn't, because they didn't include it. But who cares? Again, maybe you do. If you do, now you know. Don't count on it.

The big surprise was the carrying case. I was expecting something cheap and weak, but this is pretty good. It could actually work to protect gear, it's nicely padded. I think I'll toss my other cheesy bags and use it for my audio gear. I already have a nice Pelican case for my cameras, but this could serve a purpose. More than I'd expected.

Over all -- I would've taken a star off for not including the little stuff, the card reader, the cleaning cloth. But two 16GB cards instead of one 32GB is a serious problem, so I take another off for that.

Still, if this is your first camera and you want a load of gear to get you started, this is a pretty good deal. I recommend it, if you don't already have a tripod and microphones and (especially) batteries and a case. You could do a lot worse. But be prepared to contact the seller if they leave some stuff out so you can get all you need.
