I use this camera outside to monitor my driveway entrance. It's very clear (at 2MP) and handles the weather very well. The software is adequate (just) and I got it going quite easily. Where I don't like it is:

a) the way it stores video on SD cards is kludgy. It can store (potentially) thousands of video clips triggered by some event, but you can only delete the clips one screenfull at a time (by checking each clip one at a time). For larger numbers this is a pain.
b) At night it struggles to view number plates because the light saturates
c) the motion event sensor is not very reliable or accurate or triggers too late (e.g. a vehicle going past)
d) This model isn't yet supported by any (non Toshiba) NVR manufacturers yet so you have to use it in a generic MJPEG mode, which does work, but is not as feature rich

Whiel that may sound very negative, I really like the camera. However, if the 2MP is not too critical, I'd maybe suggest getting this camera's smaller brother the IK-WB70, which seems to have at least some 3rd party NVR support.
