At just 10.2 inches in length, and weighing 16.5 ounces, this 30mm scope does not add a lot of bulk or weight to the gun, keeping it fast handling. Hi-Lux Optics' engineers developed an extremely practical reticle that aids in obtaining exceptionally fast target acquisition when things get up close and personal in very short order. An illuminated circular center reticle and dot draws the eye to the center of the sight picture and to the center of the target - and to keep that sight picture uncluttered the reticle consists of a horizontal crosshair and a partial lower crosshair. Fully multi-coated lenses and a true 1x lower magnification insure you'll get on target quickly when the shooting is indeed at very "Close Range". For longer-range work, aiming points along the lower crosshair have been calibrated for standard.223 (5.56mm) and.308 Win. (7.62mm) service rounds out to 600 meters. Just got this scope for my AR15. Mounted it with a TMS 2" offset mount. I really like this scope. The optics are very clear, the reticle is very usable and has all the info I want and need. Close range it is basically a red dot sight on 1x illuminated with the open horseshoe inner ring and 1 MOA center red dot illuminated red. All the hold over reticle info and medium to long range reticle info is very usable and accurate. Shoots great, eye relief is perfect for my set up. I love this scope. Best scope I've ever shot thru. Can't go wrong.
