I did a lot of research before I bought the MeFoto Backpacker Travel Tripod.
Most of the reviews were positive. I watched youtube reviews until my eyes wanted to melt. And to the one guy who said that it came in colors, does it make it cool?

Yes it does.

But beyond the color it is a GOOD tripod. I never thought I could afford a ball head tripod and yet I now have one.
It is easy to use. Just make sure you twist everything tight. I know some (online reviews pro and consumer) have said that this is a problem. But no more that making sure the snap type/lever closures are closed tightly.

I packed this in my checked luggage and then carried it around Prague. My camera bag was heavier. Even in a wind, it did not move once my camera was on there, no more than my old Sunpack/Vivtar pan head tripod moved, which was way heavier than the MeFoto.

I cannot stress how easy and wonderful this tripod was. My biggest concern was that it wouldn't hold my Canon 60D and it did not a problem. On uneven cobblestones, wet pavement, sandy banks, this tripod is worth every penny. And for $140 its a ball head, and under 7 pounds? Run, do not walk, to your local store or your computer mouse and get this tripod. In whatever color you want.
