I hesitated a bit before purchasing these compact binoculars because I am a glasses wearer and one previous reviewer said he had problems with the eye relief on these. I have been looking at the Zeiss Victory 8x20 and also Leica Trinovid BCA 8x20 and Swarovski 8x20 pocket binoculars. I chose the Zeiss because they seemed to have the right combination of features and style for my purposes, something light to carry while hiking and general birdwatching and viewing other animals in my rural neighborhood. I think I would have been satisfied with any of the three binoculars I was considering, but the Zeiss Victory 8x20s seemed a little better overall in quality and features, including being waterproof and nitrogen filled, as well as light weight, although the Leica and the Swarovski are both a little lighter. I recommend that anyone considering such expensive optics read all the reviews of compact binoculars on the Birdwatching.com site. Some of the information is a little dated now, but it's still a great place to start comparing binoculars. I found the information there very helpful in making my decision about the right combination of cost and features. When I got the binoculars I was happy to discover that the eye relief is good. I have no difficulty focusing and comfortably viewing while wearing my glasses. I'm also pleased with the size of these binoculars, the way they fold for carrying, and the way they focus. The optics are excellent, which I expected at this price point, and the field of view is really good 118 meters at 1000 meters or about 351 feet at 1000 yards, which is comparable to (actually a little better than) my regular 8x42 binoculars.
