I actually bought this product from another site but this one will get more attention. The scope is of solid construction, the mount is a very good mount. The reticle in the scope isn't my favorite, but for close range (75 yards or less) it will do just fine. Any further than that and the reticle is just too big. The illuminated reticle is really nice however the higher power illumination (8-10 setting) starts to create a slight reflection inside the scope itself and you start to lose the crisp edge of the reticle.

The red dot left much to be desired. It's really high above the rifle and when I shouldered the rifle, I had to move around until I 'found' the dot. The dot is a sharp and very small (like quite literally 1-3 pixels in size) but the lens of the red dot is so small, it's not easy to find the right angle in order to see the dot however I think this is just due to the lens being so small and it being much higher than your natural line of sight. I opted to use another red-dot sight I had instead.

I put this on a Stag Arms AR-15 and I did *not* need any sort of riser. You can barely see a small black smudge in the very bottom when looking through the scope at a low zoom, but the scope just zooms right past the front sight. Overall I would recommend this combo but prepare yourself for possibly need to buy another red-dot for this one did not work for me. I could see the red-dot being really good for a handgun though.
