Well, only had it for a day, but relatively impressed!
Going from a system based on a card stuck in a Windows computer, we realize how much of a mistake that was. This DVR and the cameras that come with it blow that system away.

It took just a couple minutes to set up the DVR and set the cameras around a room to test it out. The configuration was very simple and intuitive.

The kit really comes with just about everything you need, including an Ethernet cable to plug the DVR into your router, and an HDMI cable to go to a monitor. The camera cables that come with it are only 60 feet long, so you might need to get some 100 and 150 foot ones from Amazon.

There are some downsides though! The MyDVR software is questionable at best. It's sluggish and likes to freeze up. It'll take up to a minute or two for it to respond to you clicking on something at times.
If you use Internet Explorer to view your DVR and pass up the MyDVR software entirely, that... is hit and miss at best. On one computer, it crashes instantly. On another, it works OK except it doesn't play back recorded files. On another, it works perfectly.
The iPad and Android phone apps work perfectly. The Mac version of MyDVR is a little sluggish, but much better than the Windows version.
YOU CANNOT VIEW RECORDED VIDEO FROM YOUR PHONE/TABLET. You can record directly to your tablet, however.

I should note that if you sit in front of the DVR, you can view recorded files and everything just fine, and the quality is better.

The fan is a bit noisy too, you won't want to put this in your living room or on your computer desk unless you don't mind the fan noise.

I'd recomend this for a home or small business. The quality is good enough... there's nicer systems out there, but they cost a lot more.
