I purchased this kit from Amazon.com & received it very quickly complete with all described components & everything worked out of the box. (Thank you Amazon Prime!) The 1st setup took ~1 hour because of having to look-up the directions on-line & the softbox constructions, but subsequent setups are taking less than 15 minutes.

NOTE: The 640 Watt Rating is the CUMULATIVE stated kit power-rating for all (4) 160 Watt strobes! (I ask that reviewers consider this & do not lower the product ratings, and that potential buyers consider this before feeling underwhelmed by their power.)

The short and sweet: If you want a very portable and economical low-power strobe lighting kit, (The lights are only 160 watts each!) with lots of lighting configuration options, then this is a great introductory kit. This also would make a great compliment to a "PRO kit" that you can keep safe and dry in a studio while traveling with this one. The 4 lights and included light-modifiers allow for almost any lighting method you would want to try, (Clamshell, loop, rembrandt, butterfly, fashion, portrait, 1920's, couples, senior photos, beauty, headshots, etc..)

But you have to be realistic, if you've recently attended a class or demo with 400+ Watt strobes and 5 foot softboxes or octoboxes, you're in for a disappointment if you think this kit will provide similar power or quality of light. (The softboxes are 20"x28" and while internally-baffled, simply cannot wrap light around your subject like a 4 or 5 foot softbox can.) Likewise I find it unlikely that these will help much during a bright sun-lit outdoor shoot due to the strobes being 160 Watts each rather than closer to 400+ Watts each.

*Low stress (I can buy 4-6 more of these kits for less than a comparably-flexible 4 light "PRO Kit".)
*Extremely flexible lighting method options (The boom arm really adds to the creative options.)
*Powerful enough to allow me to shoot even my Nikon D700 & D300s at ISO 200, 125-250sec. at f/16
*Low-power enough to allow me to shoot at ISO 200, 125-250sec. at f/2.8
*RELATIVELY affordable kit for those looking to start with strobes or seeking a lightweight travel kit
*Enough light modifiers included to do just about any type of photography you might want
*Included wireless trigger and integrated optical triggers both function reliably

CONS
*Consumer-grade quality/durability (While generally good, it is unlikely the last kit you will ever buy.)
*Super lightweight makes tipping/stability a concern (I HIGHLY recommend buying sandbags for each stand!)
*No real directions packed (OK if you can get to cowboystudio.com during 1st setup, but sucks if not.)
*Softboxes project a little more of a "hotspot" than I expected (Could be my fault, I'm still learning them.)

SOFTBOX "CON" QUALIFYING STATEMENT
While I was less impressed with the diffusing-quality of the softboxes relative to the performance of the rest of the kit overall, I feel that I should mention that the light quality that I am getting from these included softboxes is still consistently superior to any lighting that I have ever gotten from StoFen diffusers, 8-12" Speedlight softboxes, or Gary Fong Speedlight diffusers. (And I was pretty happy with them all before!)

SUMMARY
I will not count the 160 Watts/strobe rating as a CON since that is what it clearly states you are buying. This kit is not intended to compete with 300 or 400+ Watt/strobe kits. It will likely not overpower a relatively bright & sunny day, and is not a kit that I recommend for lighting more than 2 people regularly with, or to use over a large area. (My studio area is only 20'x20' so it works more than acceptably for my purposes.)

BUT if you want a great introductory or lightweight travel strobe kit that will allow you a great amount of creative flexibility while being easy on the wallet for all that you get, then I believe this to be a great choice.
