I bought this camcorder for our soccer team to record our drills, training sessions and also upload a few videos on the team website.

First impressions : really light and small, JVC / pixela software included for editing, good wifi features, decent low light performance, lots of nifty features like smile tracking / pet tracking, outside monitoring.

I tested out the wifi connectivity and the outside monitoring feature. works pretty well. I think JVC also gives a free Dynamic DNS account for everio owners so that they can actually use this cam remotely. The scenarios I can think of it are for Home Security / Baby Monitoring etc. PC / Android support exists and works just fine.

The output of this camcorder using a Mini HDMI to HDMI female connector ( got it from some other vendor but amazon has it around $8-10 ), is pretty decent. colors seem saturated but nothing that is unacceptable. I am sure that optics of higher end cameras ( Canon / Panasonic ) might be better but for this price point : There should be no complaints about the performance of this camcorder. Konica-Minolta lens I think.

overall, JVC has managed to deliver a solid product with lots of nifty features at a very affordable price point. I would definitely recommend it.
