Pros: Mil Dot Reticle, medium signature optic that is not too large, turrets have pull and adjust, push down and lock feature that is nice to keep the turrets locked and unlocked by finger pressure rather than free turrets that can get bumped in hunting. the illuminated reticle works fine and is nice for low light conditions. Stiff but useful turret adjustments. It has a good size signature for hunting applications where larger optics get in the way of rifle handling characteristics for rifle use.

Cons: Eye relief is good, however the optic's "sweet spot" is very unforgiving in your eye relief point. Pass that eye area and your optic will "wink" at you. Get too close and the picture de-focus's the optic. I am saying your eye relief point has a very short sweet spot where Leupold's / Bushnell's / Burris models have a longer more forgiving sweet spot in the reticle picture for eye relief. Eye relief sweet spot is about 3 inches, adequate in use for high powered rifles for recoil.

Bottom Line: Budget glass with focus for parallax adjustment. This optic can be compared to Nikon's 2.5-10x40's optic in clarity and function for mil dot use. I would use this on a budget rifle build for the features it has to bang around that I would not do with my Leupold's that cost too much to abuse.

A good alternative fixed 10x bushnell elite 3200 has a sweeter eye relief sweet spot, mil dot reticle, does not have locking turrets, does not have parallax adjustment, does not have illuminated reticle. If you are looking for a budget mildot fixed power and open country shooting that is bright and in the same price range with less technical features / variables but bare bone functions to bang around and hunt with.
