The Fotodiox LED-312A is a professional, powerful, and lightweight light that uses 312 ultrabright 5600k LEDs. The daylight balanced LEDs offer a full spectrum of beautifully soft light to make the ideal choice for both location and studio, photo and studio video production. The removable diffusion panel allows the light to be diffused as needed for most shooting scenarios and can be used to hold a number of additional gels and/or diffusion cloths to be added to help control and create the perfect lighting. The LED is dimmable from 10%-100% power to adjust the light output as needed. The rear battery mount uses two Sony NP-style batteries for replaceable ease and portable power.

I bought four of these lights. I returned one right away because the screw threads were off enough that I couldn't screw the light into my light stand. That return was done through Amazon and went smoothly.

One of the lights blinks on and off after being on for just a few minutes. Once it starts blinking on and off it's unusable for video shooting. I've called Fotodiox several times to inquire about getting it fixed or replaced. They don't answer their phones or respond to messages. The "customer service" number goes to a "general" number. A message there has gotten no response. A call to tech support got me to the extension of someone named Jeff. He hasn't bothered to call back, either.

So, one of four lights had to be returned right out of the box. Another one isn't usable because it malfunctions within minutes of being turned on and the company isn't responsive.

The AC adapters are cheap and unreliable. And the batteries don't last anywhere near as long as advertised.

I had high expectation for these lights. And they do provide a clean "white" light when working. But I'm disappointed with the quality and with the lack of responsiveness from Fotodiox.

I won't be a repeat customer.
